What a day! Really. It was jam packed with things going on, and I am just so relieved to be home and sipping some of this pear+white fungus soup (it isn’t as gross as it sounds to be.. it’s supposed to be really good for your skin - detoxing and nourishing! I buy into that all the time, in case you didn’t already know!)

Bugis street.. full of good food and awful people!
Finally went to Liat Towers to get a consultation and new products. I am raving over the new stuff because I have healthy and radiant skin now - which is always good and something I haven’t had in a while.
I shall let y’all in on the secret once I’ve fully used the range for a more substantial period of time.
Anyways, then rushed to The Legends Club at Fort Canning Park for KarenL’s wedding to Errol!! Alright, I don’t know KarenL very very well, but we’re pretty alright friends, and I think she’s a really hardworking, intelligent and lovely lady. It’s very heartwarming to see two people in love publicly proclaim their love (that said, I’m NOT in favour of ANY public display of affection. Totally trashy, unless it’s just like a little kiss, or peck.. not that full-on “get a room” thing.) As I was saying, I really genuinely felt happy for the 2 of them. The favourite part of the wedding wasn’t the banquet (don’t get me wrong, it was great.. and y’all know how much I love food!), but was actually the marching in. As KarenL’s dad marched her down the aisle, I think the best part of the wedding was at the other end - where Errol was standing. The facial expression of the groom as the bride was walking down the aisle is a look of love. It’s that certain love-drunken state of what the groom feels for the bride. Very, very sweet, and it touched my heart. Really.
We had a fantastic banquet at the gorgeous ballroom, and it was just totally gastronomic! Please refer to the pictures on my Facebook account.. I cannot, for the life of my non-existent dog, be able to upload ALL the pictures here..besides, EmaS has the rest of our pictures! Talking about pictures, it was so hilarious as we were just too busy taking pictures by ourselves and totally missing the cue to enter the ballroom! Talk about obsessed! Btw, EmaS wore a totally fabulous black cheongsam (traditional Chinese dress) that had hot pink piping, with her nice sparkly heels and croc clutch! I was boring.. just wore a houndstooth shirt with tight trousers and shiny shoes.
As I said, pictures of facebook.
Of course, the day didn’t just end there. I proceeded for a work out, while they went to change and change out of their glam garb. (Yes, I’m aching now, but I like ache!) And of course, after a work out, we had to eat! Headed down to this little awful place in Singapore called Bugis… Why awful? It’s filled to the brim with wannabe-teens who are just so damn chavvy! Not a good sight, and to be squeezed and pushed from all sides definitely doesn’t help much! Went to Crystal Jade Hong Kong Cafe for a meal, as shown below! We nibbled on hot stone congee (which honestly tasted/smelt like the sauna), bo-lo bao (this buttery bun with a crispy skin), rice rolls with sesame and sweet sauce) and Li ordered spicy fried rice!
Oh, and this was my dessert at another dessert restaurant. Mint herbal jelly accompanied with honey. Very very good! It supposedly “expels heat”. The chinese believe that the body reacts badly because we take in foods that have qualities that gives the body “heat”. Foods like fried stuff, and even ginseng, will make your body react badly (like breaking out and falling sick). Oh, I don’t know whether these mambo jumbo is really true, but still, better safe than sorry!
P.S I’ve found out very very juicy news from StarFish, my gym buddy. Hahaha.
But I’ve pinky promised him, and he made me swear on my complexion. So, nothing’s worth it! ![]()
